Marji Forrest, Director

Cheyenne-Lakota and Irish heritage grew up in NE Texas, Marji, a private contractor in the field of Occupational Therapy, now lives near Grifton NC with her husband, Aubrey, and Schnauzer named Kili (Lakota for Cool!) She has one son, 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Carol Dudley, Assistant Director

Raised in Western New York State, Carol, a dental office manager, and her husband, Dave, live near Greenville, NC with their dog, Jake. Carol is also active with Gardner’s for Hope an organization that supports American Cancer Society.

Born and raised in Ohio, Shelly, a licensed Therapeutic Massage Therapist, lives and works in Greenville, NC. She raises organic herbs for remedies as well as culinary usage. Her son, James, lives in Asheville, NC and her daughter Jessa lives in Winston-Salem NC.

Lisbeth Payne, Treasury

Born and raised in Virginia, Lis is a free lance photographer who when not out shooting photographs, stays busy raising her 2 young sons, Alex and Sam. Lis, her husband, Rod, and their sons live in Greenville, NC.

Sioux Peacock, Data Base Administrator

A retired Nurse, Sioux and her Cherokee husband, Keith, rescue abused and/or abandoned animals. They live on a farm near Falling Creek, NC. They have 1 daughter, 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.

Dianne Lambert, Media Liaison

Dianne grew up in Western NC is a custom Framer and jeweler that lives with her husband, Michael, and their much loved Pomeranians near Ayden, NC. She is the Mother of 2 children and grandmother of 2.

Joey Crutchfield, Board Member

From the Monacan Nation in western Virginia, Joey is a teacher at D H Conley High School in Pitt County. He sings with Eastern Bull Drum, is active in Epsilon Chi Nu Fraternity while also travelling to Pow Wow’s on weekends when the Drum is scheduled to Sing. Joey lives with his wife Debbie in Greenville, NC. They have a son, a daughter and a grandson.

Resa Crane Bizzaro, Honorary Board Member

  Cherokee-Meherrin, co-founded Blankets for the
Elders, the cornerstone of Restoring the Hoop, and is now an Honorary Board Member. She lives with her husband, Patrick, and son, Antonio, in Indiana, PA, where she teaches English at Indiana University of
Pennsylvania.
